I was thinking
1. brake cleaner and then loctite to glue the 1" horizontal tear
2. fill the small (drilled) hole with something like black automotive goop (I actually was given some vulcanizing glue by the nice sledder at Canadian tire (they don't sell it)
3. smear glue over small piece of cut tie-down strap and use it as a patch. (might this pull up and increase tear?)
4. re-install a stud but cut off at the bolt (so it's not necessarily gripping, but does give strength)
maybe I should skip the cut stud in case it flies out and,... well you know.
Q: Do you think this will get worse within 2 seasons? I have no sense of how long it takes a 1" vertical tear in the middle of the track to become cross-track devastation/ THANKS to all!!

I would remove that studd and the others in that same pattern that sit in the center of the track and leave them out. Thats the weakest part of the track.
