Can you stud everyother row of a 144? I was going to use double backers and put in 114 studs but my math tells me there are an odd number of spaces.

Yes.

So here is my confusion:
I want to use all double backers because they resist pull throughs better than a single. I want to put 2 doubles, everyother row. Essentially the same as 2 per row, just with doubles. I was planning on using the woodys template with the 2-4-2 pattern and just leav out the 2's.
The track is a 144" / 2.52 pitch = 57.142 so that means there are 57 spaces for studs.
If you go everyother space, when you get to the end, there will be 2 spaces or 2 sets of studs next to eachother right?

I see. I guess that's why I always studded my tracks 2 per window.

I used all double backers on my XTX. Staggered every row with an extra 2 added for the last window. 2 extra studs 116 total
