I know one thing if you have a rear cooler added you'll need 1 1/2 inches worth of protector over the cooler or you'll hit.

Those are your tunnel protectors. Just be sure your studs are not too long. I had a couple of scratches underneath with your set up, but nothing to worry about. Now if a stud rips out it still can go thru the heat exchanger but other wise you should be OK. I only ran into trouble when I added the rear exchanger & then the extra tunnel protectio is definitey needed (do a search with me as the author to see that story).
I decided last season to try out the iceripper XT track & have been very happy with it, & now I needn't worry about stud damage.
ps- the ATTAK is a great sled & a big improvement over the Warrior (buddy of mine has had both).

hey thanks for the response i really appreciate it im assuming since the sled is used and already had the studs on it then it should be fine just wanted to make sure. its my dads sled and im very jealous lol i bought his warrior from him b4 he bought the attack ive been on doo's for the last 8 years so this is a big change for me and so far i like it

i'll probly try one of those iceripper tracks on the warrior i have been thinking about one for a while and never actually heard anything about them except from a buddy of mine that said they are completly useless which i dont really beleive

I have a 2009 Attak with the rear heat exchanger and studs. First ride I took it on the studs hit the exchanger and although visually damaged it did not puncture. The best solution I saw on this site was to take some hyfax and cut them down. Then attach to the existing tunnel protectors. Works great. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. They do the trick and the solution was simple and inexpensive.

How much did this add to the protection? How many fractions or whole inches? Keep us posted if this works still after a full season. Just curious how much clearance needed on these LTX's with OEM installed coolers. On mine they didn't have them OEM we had to go aftermarket and we need 1 1/2 in. of protection along the cooler or it will hit. Maybe not right away but sooner or later it will hit with out the full 1 1/2 in.
I run Woody's 1.325's GoldDiggers 162 down the center in their recommened pattern.

Picture of Tunnel Protection
Here is a picture of the tunnel protection I made out of hyfax. I have run it for a season and once this was on the studs no longer came in contact with the rear heat exchanger. You can see the original damage without the extra protection, just glad I did not puncture. I have never had a problem over heating.[/img]
