I just install the tunnel protector kit from hauck power sport. drop the rear out remove the alum. protectors and install the new kit. they are a angle plastic that pop rivrts on the side. they are about four ft long. put it all back together and now the track just toches it. I guess this would be ok the backets will bend up . only thing is when i had the alum protectors out I fix the so they could not bend. I should had ask this before i did it but did not see this coming. so should i remove the bracket fix and let them bend?

Your going to want some give with them. I would take it off, the track is going to rub it alot when under load from it bowing.
