I'm installing a Cobra track on my new SE, just wondering for those that ran this track on a Nytro what lenght studs did you run and how many?

The track is good from what I hear but to say you don't need studs is jsut silly. An unstudded track will never launch as hard as a studded track ever

I'm not sure but I think the new Cobra tracks are single ply and require appropriate studs designed for single ply applications.

Yes, I have been reading alot about that on HCS. But, I'm not sure if the Cobra's made for AC is just 1 ply or the 09's Cobra for the general public are 1 ply or 2 ply not sure.... I bet it's an AC design for this year...

I don't think my 144 was a single ply.....i didn't look super close tho. It does weigh 44 lbs, and is only clipped every 3rd, so thats pretty damn heavy for a 1 ply track.
Is there enough clearence for 1.45" with out additional tunnel protection? I was also going to install extroverts when I do the swap what brand would you guys who have done this recommend?

Of course it will. In fact, it will launch and go FASTER withOUT studs when used in the conditions it is MEANT FOR. IN SNOW. These things are, after all, SNOWmobiles, not ICEmobiles.

There is enough clearance in a FX Nytro to run the 1.45" studs without any additional tunnel protection.
