Wondering how many studs you are running on your FX 121 mine has 96 down the middle is that enough? I bought it this way and I'm starting to wonder with all the reading I am doing the Nytro sounds like a pretty sweet sled out of hole and I have some 600 cc doo's to eat this winter lol. Especially that I was a doo guy for a long time and now made the swich but everyone else are still riding doo's The woody's site calls for 144 down the middle for trail riding sounds like alot for trail riding.

Just a note I tired to use the search but as usual it brings up everything and there brother that dosen't relate to what your looking for. Thanks again.

I run 144 down the middle, all double backers. I ride mostly trails...I think rule of thumb is 1 stud per HP.

144 at most..... But, I think 120 is plenty for the 121" Nytro. It's all in the length. Run a 1.450 stud and not what is recommended. ie.. Woody's says to run 1.325". It's not enough bite. Run a 1.450 and you will see it hook. Unless you are drag racing on ice, 192 is wayyyyy over kill on a Nytro...

I run 144 sutdboy 1.375's in my sled and all my buddys 4 strokers

3 nytro se's
1 apex rtx
1 rx1

all 121's hook and control is excellent in all of them no issues......

As stated, rule of thimb is 1/hp.

I have 144 down the middle. 1.375 with the tall nuts.

Thought I read somewhere once that 1.450 may have problems with the heat exchanger?

I run 144 down the center,Woodys gold diggers 1.450 and have had no problems in 2 seasons just keep your track tight which we need to anyways

144 down the center. 1.450 if you like lots of traction, 1.375 or 1.325 if you like it a little more loose. I like a little more loose.

i run 96 all double backers in the middle. great hook up. could use some on the outside for corner bite i think but i like less rotating mass.

Keep with the 96 and see how you like it. The more studs you put in the more the sled is gonna push in the tight torners. I was always told that studs on the outside are useless and just add rotating weight.

i run 144 1.375 woodys. had 96 last year and decided to add 48 more after having a few pull thru.the reason you dont stud the outside, is not that their ineffective, but a pull thru could ruin the trac. the studs closest to the rails are the most effective. i don't put any studs down the very middle.

96- 1.450" Woody's up the center of belt and hang on!!

I run trails 95% of the time pretty hard riding 96 1.375 down the middle is plenty for me hooks up good and brakes good.
