Going to be putting 144 studs in down the center soon on my RTX, is there anything to look out for? Never studded a track before. I know on XTXs if you put them dead center it will rub the shock, so looking for stuff like this to avoid. I have 1.450 length and have double backers and single backers from mack studs to give u an idea of what i have. Thanks for the advice

Dont think you have to worry about anything. had 96 on mine before the track change and didnt rub or hit anything. The were all double backed to and none in the center either. im sure someone else will chime in here.

Ok thanks, didnt rememeber hearing anything but just wanted to make sure before hand.

I put 96 in last fall and everything turned out fine. Just loosen the track up and drill through with the stud bit and push like crazy. If your studs have an allen head then be prepared to go through a few. I guess we used it a a little impact wrench which probably didn't help but when you have two sleds to do, I wasnt about to use a wrench.

I got a buddy who had an 08 with 144 5,000 miles and no probs

I have 144 down the middle..no issues, 1.325 Mega Bites all on double backers...and I will be running 1.450s this season.

Sounds good, was just wondering about the center placement like on the xtx's. Yup went with the 1.450 and doing double backers and single backers. Was debating on just getting a bigger lug track but studs got the nod this year. Need traction, all i did last year was spin

Get an allen key socket for your ratchet wrench. It's a whole lot easier on your hand torquing the nuts on the studs when you use a ratchet, instead of holding an allen key with a vice grip.
