I am probably to late for what Grizz tracks told me about welding the nuts :o| :o| :o| I have been tryin to send Grizztracks a pm with this. :o| :o| It says my inbox/outbox is to full and it is empty? Please tell me what you guys think think to fix this? My welder guy can weld it this week. I need a game plan to fix it!! This is located on the Lower A arm holes by the steering linkage side of sub frame. One side still perfect other has a little slop? I was thinking about welding a washers on both holes on the subframe to fix sloppy hole? This would give it a little thicker metal to ride on? When I put grizz gussets in I put in O lite bushings at the same time and they have about 750 miles on them so that should not cause this unless I did not get that lower a arm bolt tight enough? Any ideas would be great

Thanks Brian

I thought Grizz had a post about this somewhere. he filled in the hole partially with weld, then drilled it out to spec again, then welded on the nuts.

If you add a washer to the inside, the a-arm won't fit anymore. Pretty tight clearance in there to keep things from moving around.

I was thinking about welding a washer on the outside so this would be where the red is wore off on the picture. So maybe a washer welded first then weld the nut to the washer but would maybe need a longer bolt.

I would just weld it up and drill it. Just get the centers first and make a jig so your holes are back in the same place. Grind it smooth and bolt back together. Weld nuts on. :sled1:

I partially fill the hole with weld, dye grind it back to the proper size then use a file to smooth both sides of the hole. The hole tends to egg in one direction which in your picture would be the inner portion. You don't want to totally fill in the hole because then you'll lose your point of reference. Reinstall the a-arms after the repair to make sure the hole is located properly. If everything aligns properly weld the nuts to the frame so you don't have it happen again. Make sure you loctite the a-arm bolt when doing the final install.
