I am preparing to do my summer maintenance including changing the gear lube and engine oil. My parts guy loves Amsoil. I am thinking of using the synthetic 0w-40 for engine and synthetic 75/90 for the case. He is giving me a decent deal on the oil making it cheaper then the Yamaha stuff. Anyone see any issues or have any feedback.

Also while I am at this of course I am greasing the zerk fittings. I am also replacing all my idlers wheels so i am not worried about those bearings.

Any help on other bearings I should grease and if so are you using a needle to get them? My dealer says everything is maintenance free on the bearings but past experience tells me I should check this out... Thanks for any help...

oil

amsoil is fine to use,i have used for thirty years no problems, on your
drive and jack shaft you can use needle to grease.
