Good day

I'm sick of having to maintain my polished tunnel after every ride.

I want a black tunnel and was wondering what's the best way to go?

I've seen tunnel raps....but heard horror stories about them

I was thinking of getting it sprayed, with that box liner stuff they use on trucks

Or is there some kind of paint you can use?

If anyone has done this, please PM with pics or just share your ideas.....

thanks a million....happy off-season everyone! :drink:

Hmmm roll on bed liner?? I have a can of that....let me know if you decide to do it and how it turns out!

black tunnel

That is exactly what i am planing to do this summer i plan to use gator gaurd box liner sprayed thru shutz gun on my tunnel it has held up really well on my custom alluminum box and my front bumper so far this year and the snow doesnt seem to stick to it as much as the raw alluminum. The kind i used on my box was hippo liner a 2 part mix and it is super tough

I was planning on painting and clear coating mine. Idk. I did.it on a buddies srx and.it.seemed to holdup pretty well.

You could have it powder coated too. Seen a few painted ones and they look real nice. I just think powder coat would be a little more durable.

quality spray in liners are durable enough to beat with hammers and not chip, trow tools and equipment in, and pumble.. may be worth it to try that with the flex tunnels give.

i used rock guard on my bumper, and my a-arms this season. works really well, holds up to trees, stumps, and hard snow with ease. cheaper too

I used Plasti-Dip on mine. It's held up pretty good so far, had to patch a few places which is a breeze to do. Definitely throwing some more coats on it this summer.

I also used the plasti dip used two cans cost 40 bucks held up good everywhere except inthe running boards and a little spot where my boots rubbed the side. It's easy to peel off so I'm going to try either red or white this summer.

here are some pics of bumper and box with bedliner on them. the bumper has plowed many trees over with no sign of damage

I've often wondered how truck bed liner would work on a tunnel, both outside and inside. It would add a little weight but it might cut down on ice and snow build up. I wonder if it would cut down on track noise?
I've had Line-X in my last two pickups and it is some tough stuff. Even comes in color now.

Did mine to. 1st ride it was shot dissapointed with it and wounldnt do it again.

I had mine painted 3 seasons ago and it still looks great. Auto body shop did it and it is all about how well you prep it. There is no paint that has worn off other than being scratched.
