Summer Stoorage: A full fuel tank and ????

I have to keep my sled in my enclosed trailer, outside in the sun. Aluminum clamshell top. I filled the tank and stabilized the fuel. Here's my ??. Is the fuel tank vented when the cap is tight? Or should I leave the gas cap a liitle loose. I don't want excess fuel pressure from heat to cause any tank bulging problems from pressure build up. I have always had my sleds fuel tanks completely drained over the summer in this trailer before. Never had a four stroke. I will not be able to open up trailer over the summer.

The tank is vented. It wouldn't be able to draw gas from the tank if it wasn't.

You should run it to get the treated fuel into the lines carbs or fuel body for EFI.

Wouldn't you hear a pressure release when removing the cap if it was a one way valve?

Yes you would. I didn't claim the Apex has one, only that some sleds do. My 06 Fuse 6 did. I was told it was a attempt to keep EPA satified.

The tank is vented. I just pull my tank, and one of the lines I had to pull was a clear vent tube. And yes, gas does run out of it. My wife had hers on its side accidentlily and gas ran out of it at quite a clip.

If you can, run a leader cord to the trailer and connect a battery tender to the sled. I have 2 CPU fans velcro'd to the upper trailer vents and they are connected to a computer power supply. I got all the parts real cheap at a discount computer shop for a few buck. They are also hook to the leader cord. It keeps the trailer from getting hot, and the don't use hardly any electricity and are quiet.

The sleds that are set up this way are known to make a buzzing noise (caused by the check valve letting air escape) when they get warm after coming inside a heated area or even when you sit on them collapsing the tank slightly. No need for concern leaving the gas cap snug.

Edit: What about installing one of those solar powered fans they sell for boats and RV's ? That would also help circulate the air, maybe help control condensation? Shouldn't take much....
