supercharger/turbo help

Yes I figured 5-7lbs max but I'm going to try and keep it to 5lbs max for the first 10,000 km's to see how everything holds up. Since this is a yamaha I'm expecting to put 3000-5000km's per winter for 10 to 30 years+ on this engine then hand it down to my son. I've read a lot on the subject but still appreciate the imput from everyone.

I'm torn between the MPI supercharger and the ulmer turbo. Deffinitely want to stick with a pump gas set up. Does the MPI kit come with the bypass? How much more fuel consumption can you expect with bolth kits?

fuel consumption correlates to permagrin....the more you gotta have it, the more you gotta use the fuel :)

I have'n even opened the box yet! Won't be getting home until next week to start the install. I'll figure out what I have and any additional goodies I may want from Santa after that.

Get a good 02 sensor or wideband to help tune the fuel settings. Without it you are shooting in the dark for a good state of tune. AEM or any bosch style sensor will be good enough.

Tom Hartman.

#1 guy in aftermarket Yamaha customer service - hands down.

We deal with many, many businesses that are excellent dealers, sales people, tech guru's, etc. but...

Tom is the cake topper! ;)! Just a "salt-o-the-earth" guy!

Thank's Moto I talked to Tom Friday and he gave a bunch of usefull info. Just have to get everything ok'd with the wife and I will be placing a order.

No prob Nutz...

sounds like there is a big romantic date night in your very near future! ;)!

Just arrived home today and opened the Box! :jump: Now I have to Install it. I have too much invested at this point to cheap out so I'm looking at the prologger. Sounds like it has everything I would need to go with the system? I appreciate all the imput and even additional questions as questions also help me too. I like the sound of the Prologger but is it direct nobrainer hookup? I can handle most mechanical work but when it comes to wiring I'm an outright dud and liable to catch myself, my sled and my house on fire. Again, all imput greatly appreciated! Merry xmas and happy new year all!
