I am 6 foot 3 and 280lbs got all my suspension springs to the max still find I bottom on more frequently than I like. Anybody have an inexpensive idea other than losing weight? :oops: Still haven't jacked up the rear clicker at all.

Thanks L.B

Thank you
That was the direction I was going to go. Nice to get some confirmation

Mikkos I am about 265 270 without gear and I do not bottom out at all. I would make sure you have gone the right way with your adjustments. I have FRA to medium and rear sping on 3rd or 4th click from softest I only bottom on the deep dips coming off a hill into the dip.

I'm somewhere around 275 without gear, and I hardly ever bottom any more. I went with the FRA at firmest (lowest position) and my spring at the softest. I have some other adjustments to play with, such as the control rods and straps, but I'm very close to having the optimum setup. I ride pretty hard, and only bottom out once in a while if I hit just the right G-out type dip at a high speed.

I'm 245 and my setup isn't working either but that's on a shorty. I had the dealer make the adjustment so they couldn't harp on me anymore for tinkering :roll: , so far it's my biggest complaint about the sled:

Center shock preload = max

FRA = MAX (Harddest)

Rear shock preload = max

Rear control rod gap = 70/30

WHAM...BAM...POW...I need to see my chiropractor on Monday :evil:

I'm going to get a different shock and spring setup for my weight and riding style www.pioneermotorsprt.com good pricing on Ohlins shocks their. Hopefully before this weekend because the trails get trashed fast durring I-500. But seeing that you have a clicker, I think you could get by with a stiffer spring.

Good luck!

My dealer under-cut Pioneer on a slightly used (installed, but not raced - too stiff for oval racing) Ohlins piggy-back rear shock. I plan on installing it tonight.
