Couple years ago I purchased the kashima coated qs3 center shock to put on my sled since it had the hpg shock in the center.
Also installed hygear dual rate setup on that shock. Which is close to the cat 160/260 spring.
Adjusted spring tighter than they recommended due to bottoming out under feet. Now just taps the bottom with compression set on medium.

Also removed the hygear setup from front shocks and went back to the original straight rate springs up front. So I put stiffer spring set back on.

In the rough trails I run the front qs3 shocks on medium or soft compression. Soft settings front will bottom on g outs.

Center qs3 set on hard compression setting.

Rear qs3 set on hard compression setting.
Rear springs on soft.

This thing is like riding on marshmallows thru the rough.

Up here it's better to have a sled set up for rough trails and slow down for corners than it is to have a sled setup for slot car handling.

Anybody else ride with the rear qs3 shocks set on 3, the stiffer setting????

I've got atac system, essentially qs3 electrically selected. I use firm(3) on clapped out trail traveling fast. Medium setting (2)most of the time, and soft on the nicest trail...pillow soft ride.

Same, but I find medium to be good for most situations, if I see trail ahead looking beatup i will switch to firm and pin it.

Do all 4 of your shocks go to firm then?

No, just ski and rear arm.
Center is just a regular cat shock.

I was beyond the limits of the center hpg shock with cat 160/260 spring on it.
Having the center qs3 is nice to complete the package for a better ride.

Biggest issue is that center shock. I always blow through the travel on it. I can't find a happy medium.

Running a raptor center spring.

I am working on finding the right setup too! Mine is a RR so QS3R all the way around. went i got my sled(last week) its was setup for drag! Rode and turn like #*$&@!! Now going back to basic and start from there. But center shock, will likely remain at 3 for compression, since im always pretty rough on it! But rear at 2 and torsion in the middle, im at 200 pounds.

I've experimented but I find it just too stiff to be usable for me.
