Has this happened to anyone else? The sway bar is rubbing on the plastic. I have not hit anything. Nothing is bent. This is on the clutch side.

Seen it before. Not sure what yamaha's solution is for this. If you're playing off trail mostly just remove the sway bar and links otherwise you'll want to keep it. What model sled you got? Guessing xtx?

I think it due to manufacturing variance. My sled doesn't do it, but my brother's does. No damage ever on either sled. Doesn't affect performance though on the one sled that does rub.

I have it also. RTX-LE. Took pictures this morning. Hoping my dealer can/will do something. 500 miles on mine.

Yes, I have the same thing clutch side, never hit or damaged anything prior. Mine is not quite as abrasivc as your pick though.

I was thinking it was the way the plastic got mounted. The other side is fine, but it's very close to touching. I feel better that others are seeing the same thing. I only just noticed it this week while cleaning the sled. ( I will never buy a white sled again, love the way it looks but hard to keep clean. I have found that the Mr. clean magic eraser works great on the white plastic.). After the season is over I'll see what my dealer will do about it. On another note take a look at the black plastic piece that wraps around the fuel tank, the clutch guard on mine has been rubbing and left a good indent as well. I would hate the have it wear right through.

I also wanted to mention even if a a-arm was bent it wouldn't effect this it's the actual sway bar that is touching, so unless the sway bar got bent somehow?? How that would happen I have no idea.

It's nothing new. Some of the sleds have had this problem brand new including the cats when they came out with this chassis. You can try repositioning it in the mounts and it might help. As mentioned already it will be covered under warranty.

I wanted to give an update on this. Had it in at the dealer to deal with this as is is on both sides now. My dealer took pictures and sent them to Yamaha. Yamaha came back to say that they would not cover it as it was "normal wear due to chassis flex" ??? Uhh what?? It's normal for the sway bar to run a plastic body panel?? I have heard guys with the same problem getting the panels replaced under warranty. I guess they got tired of paying for replacement plastics.

I never turned mine in though I should have. They did cover swaybar when mine broke. Since it was off I ground a big chamfer on side that rubs plastic. Almost to dia of bolt head. Good since but damage done already.
