Broke mine sleds in on the factory oil, then went with Yamalube 4S 0w-30 everafter. I run it because of availability and price, also because the shop manual what me too LOL
We brake in a Niki'ed cylinder on synthetic because the rings don't really need to cut the cylinder walls.On iron bores,we brake in with conventional oil to allow the rings to cut the tips off the cross-hatch.Then we switch to synthetic oil fortified with zinc if possible
