Hi,
I just purchased the 2016 Viper X-TX and want to take that oval bag off the tunnel behind the seat so i can put on the base carrier rack to carry extra fuel. Anyone take that bag off, whats the easiest way to get those two rivets out that are close to the seat. Cant get a drill lined up with those two.

No need to drill the rivets. The bag slides off. But I forgot if forward or rearward. I removed mine and installed the large Yamaha bag last year.

Mine was riveted on, I just carefully drilled rivet as much as I dared then carefully put large secrewdriver against rivet and tapped. I then put rivets back in to keep water out I put a larger bag on that covers the rivets

I just removed mine and used a VERY long drill bit and drilled through the opening in the gas tank. You will have to remove the seat first.

My bag was riveted on. I just got a drill bit in there and slowly knawed at the rivet till I could punch it down through.
I put the Yamaha rear storage bag there but took it off this year and didn't like it. I put the small bag back on but put it on sideways so I could fit both a mountain addiction has can and bag there.
