Tall windshield question

I heard the tall windshields are not being released as they are bending over at faster speeds. Does anybody have any inside info if a better tall shield is gonna make it to the dealers this year.

I ordered my tall early October.

Nothing for a month.

Late November they said December 21.

December 18 the computer said Jan 16.

I said screw it and went for the mid height. Got it in two days.
I installed it today, I think it will be fine.

Thats the long answer. Short answer, not sure anyone knows.

Riceburner.........Where did you order your Mid Windshield from?? I thought the Mid and Tall were all on back order???

I put the mid height on after the first day of riding with the stock Apex ER shield. This was a big improvement over the stock shield but I can see where it will be just so so when the real winter weather hits. Dealers still not sure if they'll see the taller ones or not.

Got it from thr dealer. I got the clear one.

I believe he mentioned not all mid heights were available at the time but the one I wanted was available.

There seem to be a number here running them and they appear to be happy with them.

I have not tried it yet. [No Snow] However looking at it on the trailer next to the Warrior, I think it will be fine. Looks like good wind protection for the hands and the height is similar to the Warrior which has been fine the last two years.

How much higher is the medium windshield over the stock windshield on the Attak.

My buddy picked up his black/chrome mid last week from the dealer for his Apex GT

I believe the Med is close to 2 inches higher.

The Med. is 14 1/4 as I recall.

It is a couple " wider also.

I bought the medium clear windshield. It actually works well. That attak windshield isn't much better then the stock. the only problem with the mid is it looks bad.
