I have an 06 Apex GT and would like to know if anyone has put on a taller riser block. I am 6' tall and would like the bars about 1-2" higher. The stock riser is about 4-3/4" tall. The block on the Mountain sleds are definately taller and I want to know if it works on the Apex GT without having to change or lengthen the cables and brake hoses etc. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! ;)!

Go for a ROX pivoting riser. I put a 3.5" riser on top of the stock Apex riser without lengthening the cables. No cable length to go higher though. I am 6'4".

2" might be just right for you.

here is a pic of the 2" installed on an APEX off of the ROX site.

A mountain riser gives you what you need & the cables fit. $70 shipped with the longer bolts if my sled didn,t burn down when local dealer had a fire.

Check out our bar riser that we have availalbe. We have them in 6" and 8" heights ... with the adapter block, it results in a total of 8.5" or 10.5" of rise from the top of the steering column. Our adapter block is also made to accommodate the stock chrome trim ring.

See link to our website in my signature.

Here's a good shot of Gade thrashers billet risers installed on my sled with the chrome ring intact. The set I ended up with gave me a 2.5" rise over stock.

Thanks for the info KevinS. Just purchased the Rox 2" risers for my Apex. I am 6' 1". Should help tremdously.

Hello TotallyNytro, I was thinking of getting the 2" Rox risers too for my new Vector , could you let me know if they fit OK , looking at
KevinS's it looks like the bolt heads may not have much clearance if his are 3.5" risers
thanks, sonic

The 2 inch rox riser did the job for me, you can still use the stock cables too. I'm 6'2'', and it works great, if i was a little bit taller i would go with the 3.5, but if your shorter then me 2 inch should be plenty.

dumb question, but can you read gauges when sitting after raising bars? I tried the handle bar pad / bag and it covered them up.

I can see mine just fine with a 2.5" rise over stock. I just can't really see the very bottom plastic trim of the cluster.

2.0 inch rox riser from Rich. All good so far.

I can still see mine good. The yammy pad is just below the yamaha trim on the guage when looking at it. If you had the 3.5'' it might cover part of the guage, but the 2 inch rise is good.
