What size tap do I need to tap out the rails for the slider screws? Cannot get them to go back in all the way after changing the sliders. Hopefully they are just full of loctite.

Don't bother trying to tap it. Just drill it out and use a nylock nut instead. Just see this post and go down to the Slider Bolts FIX. Excellent pics.
