This is a safety issue... If you switch to an tune by mistake and run a high flow muffler you will be very lean....
That's why we have not done both. With a flasher you can switch jukebox...
Understoodj but it just seems silly (to me) to have all tunes only for the SQ muffler when in reality one might use 2 or 3 at most leaving the option for other things like a high horsepower stock muffler tune in the mix. If someone paid for multi map this should be an option I think without needing to fork over another $650. No more dangerous than using the 300hp tune after filling with 87 instead of Eco or Power trail tunes when you couldn't find a station with 91.
I can call tomorrow to discuss this with you guys on the phone.

I have never wished that I had a less hp tune .
Always want more not less, but also need to respect that power.
So if just getting one flash or tune, go big. This Max Spool 16 is very trailable and mpg is much the same as the lower hp tunes. Quiet and 91 octane was my deciding limit for trails !

That's not apples to apples though. If you set it to max 20 and only have 87 you will only notice it when you get to an open area and lay into it. Then it will detonate, flash the dash lights, and back off the tune. If you run an SM tune with a free flowing muffler you will go lean and burn the engine down with no warning.Understoodj but it just seems silly (to me) to have all tunes only for the SQ muffler when in reality one might use 2 or 3 at most leaving the option for other things like a high horsepower stock muffler tune in the mix. What if I have a flasher and forget to load the SM tunes in when I re-install the SM, I mean at the end of the day just pay attention and everything will be fine. That's not apples to apples though. Just trying to have some flexibility after having spent over $1000 without having to spend another $650 or having to bug my local TD dealer every time I need a change.
This would be ideal to me in this order and extremely difficult to make an error:
MaxSpool 16 for SM
PowerTrail for SQ
Max17 for SQ
MaxSpool 17 for SQ
Max 20 for SQ

Why do you need them all ?bet you wouldn’t know the difference if you didn’t look at your gauge, exc pt the 20.

Well I have the Multi Map bundle which gives access to any tune from TD and also have the Dash Flash which can store 5 tunes in the Jukebox. Do I change from one to another? Not currently no I keep it on the MaxSpool 17/290hp.Why do you need them all ?bet you wouldn’t know the difference if you didn’t look at your gauge, exc pt the 20.
That's part of my point as well, it would be much more useful for the Dash to flip from SM to SQ to Race pipe tunes than 5 tunes of the same exhaust.

The issue would be guys with the flash to pass button on the handle bars, accidently hitting it or someone not knowing what they are doing pushing buttons on your gauge. Having to reflash the sled makes it somewhat fool proof.Well I have the Multi Map bundle which gives access to any tune from TD and also have the Dash Flash which can store 5 tunes in the Jukebox. Not changing between the same muffler tunes normally and wanting to easily change hardware and get updates is why I would go with the flasher over the dash flash. When i got mine the dash flash wasnt even available but to me its just BLING while the flasher has many uses. Obviously this doesn't help you at this point but something to think about for anyone else reading it.Well I have the Multi Map bundle which gives access to any tune from TD and also have the Dash Flash which can store 5 tunes in the Jukebox. Thanks for this thread. It answered some of my questions. I have an early PT flash for a modstock muffler . It didn't come with KR notification back then. I'd like to run my stock exhaust also on occasion and believe it's ok with the tune I have but unfortunately would like that knock light back like the old days .
I want a new tune for stock but also don't want to loose the PT I paid for. I guess to stay current the flasher is the best option.
Kind of worried about muffler heat with 270 stock muff tunes

In 2017 I sent my ECU out and had powertrail flashed. Year 2 I upgraded to the flasher and a tune bundle. You get a discount updating to the bundle if you already purchased a tune.

In hindsight if I would have known that you are kind of handcuffed with options by having the dash flash I would have just got the flasher and applied the $350 dash flash cost to that but I guess now i'm a bit stuck. The value of the dash flash isn't the best really, for $350 you are able to switch between tunes in the Jukebox for 1 exhaust application and you see bigger boost....... Haven't really seen anything else you get with it like display max numbers or anything. Not sure if AntiLag will be included in the DashFlash when it comes available in Version 2 (was referenced in a TD video) but if it was available at no extra cost in an update then it would be worth it.

Good advice. I want a SM tune eventually. I like the idea of one tune setup with proper clutching. The bundle sounds nice, but almost everyone runs the largest tune.

I have a SM bundle and love it. Recently upgraded to the Max Spool 16, sled rips. Definitely can notice the difference between Powertrail and Max 16. Haven't had to change my clutch setup yet since switching to it but only have about 120 miles on it.

What would you guys recommend for a stock muffler tune, looking for good power, great fuel economy, be able to safely run 87 if needed with knock light,
The array of tunes and flashing options is unbelievable these days.

Sounds like Powertrail for the Stock muffler is the way to go for you. .......FYI-- its a much better deal to spend the extra and get the bundle if you ever plan on upgrading your exhaust and a flasher. Im trying to convince my buddy to go half with me on the flasher....
