Has anyone run the Team Tied secondary clutch on their Viper?
I'm under the impression the Nytro and Viper share the same secondary and are interchangeable. If you have Nytro experience with this clutch, I'd like to hear your impressions also.
I have 0 experience with Yami's current offerings, but they look dated and inefficient compared to other brands to me. Thinking about trying a Tied clutch before I even ride it......lol

I personally think with proper clutch/belt combo the yamaha clutches are very efficient in performance, longevity and fuel mileage, not saying that about stock clutching, it works but leaves a lot on the table for improvement, how many other sleds can get 5,000+ miles easily out of a belt..

Stingray, I wouldn't start over if I was in your shoes either
Studroes, I'm not saying they are bad, just that there might be better available. I have a buddy that put one on his Summit Etec and said it was the single best mod he's done!
I have 1200 hard climbing mountain miles on the STOCK OEM belt on my '09 Doo 800R XP 163, none of my buddies can seem to make it even a full season on a belt. I've aligned the clutches, dialed in the primary for my weight, no additional panel venting, stock secondary. For my stock sled, it runs with the best of 'em.
Is the Yami secondary clutch slide button or roller?

The FX Nytro, when ran with the TEAM Tied setup, was running a different jackshaft that was actually a Ski Doo spline on the end. As of now, I do not believe there is a TEAM application for the SR Viper as they would have to offer a new jackshaft to go with it.
Is the Viper jackshaft different from the Cat?
If they are different then a Cat 7000 jackshaft should work shouldn't it?

Team Tied part #'s
#421512 for Yamaha.......... " Does not fit Nytro FX and Phazer - See Nytro Conversion Kits"
#421896 fits '12 and newer Proclimb/Procross chassis
Nearest I can tell, the part # listed above fits Apex, Attack, RX-1, SX Viper (2s) and Mountain Max.
No to the Nytro or Vector

Viper and 7000 is different splines
So we either need to run a Yamaha primary on a 7000 or a 7000 jackshaft on a Viper

The only downside I see to running the Cat jackshaft, is you might have to run Cat compatible gears too. I read Yamaha was using something different...

ive run a team tied for 4 years took a bit to get it setup for best results but i will tell you this when set up right they work bakshift is really fast but hard to get good top end numbers geared down does not like overdrive.had to play with spring rates in it ended up bigger spread on rear and smaller spread on front.but it really works mde prb 15 lenths differance on my sled

but this is on a 2005 rx1

Cat is running same chain and gears we have now. So only downside would be tuning and is the Cat Team as good as a real Team clutch? They are different.
