Has anyone put a teather on the phazer yet? I tried to put one on tonight with no luck. Well I mean it worked, but when I wiggle the teather the thing would quit. This was wiring it in on the key side under the key switch. I spliced into the red wire. I am thinking the teather is bad, since it works, but cuts in and out when you wiggle the rubber cap. Any thoughts?
If the material you mounted it to is too thick, the same problem can occur...

Screw in a the smallest screw you can find, like a roundhead screw, under the cap. That will keep the button pushed down. We have to do it on our race sleds sometimes.

swmpr1, does your phazer still run with the tether atached and the kill switch down? If it does, pull the tether and see if it still runs, with the kill switch off.

that is the same place I was going to mount my teather...looks like the same one too. I only had mine wired in..had not made the hole or anything yet...thought I would start the sled and check it out, before I mounted it...that is when I found the problem. The screw idea is a thought. Cause the plunger is not getting pushed down far enuf...wish it was adjustable like my MXZX!

the tether and the kill both shut it down, independently.

My brother must have a wire wrong on his RX-1's and Apex. The tether works, with the kill switch up. But if you push the kill switch down, then pull the tether, it still runs. He uses a rubber band around the kill switch to keep it up.
