I was riding the other day, coasted for a few feet and heard this growl from under the front part of the sled. It sounded like it came from the cogs or in that area. I rode the rest of the day without any other sounds. The next morning I took off on a lake and the same sound happened again. I ran down the lake wideopen then stopped. When I took off again I heard a clicking noise. I ran over to the dealer but found nothing. The track is tight, no slipping there. Anybody else heard this noise or have you had any drive problems.

You had a chunk of ice break off the tunnel & bang around for a while. It can sound & feel like your suspension
drivers/chaincase is gonna explode. It sounds way worse then it is.

Usually if you stop and throw it in reverse, it will blast all the loose crap out.

The growl under my sled turned out to be a wolverine. But this is rare. Most often you get this sound when the track is bouncing off ice in the tunnel.

Actually this pretty common when you park your sled outside overnight. the poor little critters curl up on the track under nice warm muffler - that thing weighs a ton and can retain heat for days. The next morning . . . .RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I had the same thing happen to me this weekend. It sounded/felt like my track was ratchiting/slipping. I tightened it up and same thing, checked for Ice as well, nothing.
Point of the story - Check your drive belt! I kept going thinking it had to be some ice, I could not see and bang my belt shredded. I had 500 miles on the sled at the time.
I am assuming that sound was my belt slipping, anyone else have their belt go so soon.
