tether kill switch

Hey guys trying to figure out the best location to install my tether kill switch. Its on a yamaha apex, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Someone installed mine next to the ignition, but he never hooked it up and I have no clue how that works. Guess it's time to break out the meter after I get it running.

Lol I actually have the complete opposite, someone hooked it up on mine but never mounted it, they just had it hanging out of between the gas tank cover and the cover panel that has the ignition switch right next to the bar riser. On mine the tether switch is hooked to the brown wire of the ignition switch.
