don't fall off - thus there won't be any need for a teather

You can use an Arctic Cat tether, part #0638-887, on the Nytro. They're cheap.
The one at the link above - which shuts off the oil breather line - is a brilliant idea though.

I really don't like the AC style tethers. The Gunnar tether is the nicest one, they just wire them stupid from the factory. You need to cut the little black box out and wire it through a relay. Going through this right now. Or get a Pingel but they are $$$.
It was an attempt at humor - aimed at both myself as well as anyone else who finds themselves "temporarly detached" from their mount.
Sorry it was mis-construed...

Nikolai,
What's your experience with the Gunnar tether? When I was looking into this last season I found the Gunnar had received poor reviews for its durability, or lack thereof. I know the Pingel is a nice unit.
Also, with both Pingel and Gunnar systems I didn't care for the way the release mechanism needs to disengage perpendicular from the switch during an unplanned dismount. The AC type tether with the rubber plug isn't as directionally constrained and that appealed to me. Way back in the day, I used this type successfully when I was unsuccessful at staying on my three-wheeler during a race.
As a note to all - you'll need a "normally closed" switch for the Nytro. Most two strokes use the more common "normally open" switch.

I don't have much experience with it. I used it once for a hillcross race last year. However, after reading all the issues of people melting them I decided to do some PM and change the wiring. I cut the transistor out and I'm wiring it through a relay instead. I should be done tomorrow and I'll post some pics.

Mounted the relay to the radiator shroud. Tested it and everything works perfect.

You can by them direct from AC for $26, I just don't like the "cap" style tethers.
