Because after 2 months of reading this site and my new '07Apex GT sitting in the garage I was nearly paralyzed to take it out. After all the reading I have done I thought for sure I would bend the tunnell, freeze my hands, smoke the chaincase, be sprayed by flying rubber off the delaminating idlers, rub a hole thru my track from the shock, bottom out on every bump, hear lots of banging or track noise and break my front spindles off the bulkhead. But instead, much to my surpise, I had an extremely peaceful, comfortable and uneventful 100 miles. Seems like its gonna be a good match, me and this beast!

See, snow cures everything!!!

In honesty, the temp was in the low teens, and with the warmers on full tilt, It didnt feel like there was enought heat coming from them that they would be effective at 20 below. I guess I have 1 issue that I have to deal with for now!

I know how you feel.. Ive been on this website for almost 3 years and all you read about is the downsides to these sleds,,, it makes you depressed..

I try and stay away from the site alot more than i use to..

I know every time i sqeeze the hammer on my sled i have a good time..

2760 miles and she has never let me down.. cant wait to see 10,000 miles on her

i know there's alot of downside talk, but we all know and love yamaha and when something goes wrong with the yamaha product we can't believe it is happening, this is yamaha there not suppose to break, but everything breaks sometimes, i'm glad to be on this site cause there is a wealth of knowledge to help get us back riding fast

Sorry about that. I do feel that the problems can be blown way out of proportion. You will see that you will have very few issues, I know I havent in my second season on an Apex.

The really bad part is we dont want to chase away prospective Yamaha buyers, thus cheating them out or owning and riding the best sleds on the planet.

Nice post, Coondog, I like that... I felt the same way.

I think we here as TY members are just alot more fanatical and particular then the average sledder....

We want our sleds to perform the best and dont want to deal with the minor issues we have found with them....

Hopefully newbies will take our suggestions and when they get there sleds they will realize how great these apexs are....

my first 20 posts was just me raving about how much i loved my apex!....this site is amazing for all of us to benefit from our tweaks we have made....

I cant tell you how many times i see guys out on trail who have made mods they got from this site...and its awesome i think...that TY members who are willing to readup abit, can be faster then most stockers...just from all our tips. :rocks:

I know that everything I've done so far on my 07 has come from this incredible site, definately NOT from my dealer.

Great post and responses 100% right on. GREAT SLEDS we have had way to much time with out snow to read and worry. I loved my GT last year and can not stinkin believe we have no snow on the NORTH shore of SUperior. It is killin me.

Glad you go to ride.

My time will come.

This is my second Yamaha I own and had little issue with my first, however, IMO, although it CAN be depressing hearing all the negative things we read on this forum, I think it all in interpretation. Myself, I read it and when I ride, should ANYTHING go wrong, I will not panic, because a) I know that its happenned to fellow riders, b) I know that there will be someone on here that will QUICKLY help me fix her up again.

I love this site !!! Best forum I have seen so far. Lots of guys here have great knowledge about sleds and much more. I sometimes feel guilty that I cannot contribute more knowledge instead of just learning.

Thats my 2 cents.
