I just want to say "THANK YOU" to Terry for a very speedy, clean, and professional install the other day....

I picked up a used 90 hp Holtzman system (single solenoid, 2 X 15 gram nozzle set up) and Terry was so kind as to do the install. It went well, and the accomodations were great (heated, well lit shop). The install also came with personal recommendations and advice that are priceless, and not on an instruction sheet.

Talking with Terry's son while we worked on my sled (very polite young gentleman), I have the distinct feeling that there is a NOS PRO Jr in the making.....In a couple of very short years he will be asking for the keys to that beautiful blue N20 Attak.......

Testing of the newly installed system to commence this weekend in the Crandon WI area.........WHOA! Can't wait

Thanks again!
Mike

15 gram nozzels

I talked to Straightline Performance and he was sharing that there is not a hp/nozzel, but that the nozzels are rated by gram size like yours. He did say that the the hp figure is 2hp for ever 1 gram. So your kit should be a 60 hp kit.

Mike,

Thank You and glad I could help! And you are right, my son can't wait till he can drive a sled.

Your welcome!
Terry

Bruce, Barry had the nozzles marked GPS grams per second and was always told by him that the 15 GPS nozzles were 45 horse each, 10 GPS were 30 each and 20 GPS were 120. I went to Holtman's site this morning and see he doesn't list nitrous kits anymore because of his business deal with straightline. Did he change the nozzle to a straight 40 HPR? I see that is how Straightline has it on their web page but have paperwork at home advertising (2) 15 GPS nozzles for the Apex/Attak which is a 90 horse advertised kit from Holtzman Engineering when I was sponsored by Barry.

On the instructions, that is my Attak that is pictured as Barry and I installed the very first kit in his shop. Same thing on the Nytro.

Bruce, whether it's a car, bus or airplane or snowmobile....15 grams of nitrous mixed with fuel at like 13 to 1 air fuel ratio, will produce 2 to 3 hp per gram of nitrous.
On a 4 stroke it is closer to or higher than 3 hp per gram.

This is how all nitrous systems hp output is measured....V8 Mustang or 4 cyl Honda!!

Terry, so does the kit that I bought that you use to have on your 05 RX1 have 2-10 gram nozzels?

I have never looked at it, nor have I installed it yet. Just got the box out today. Getting the bug to put it on.
Take Care

Terry is a class act. Ive gotten some rollers from him..total nice guy.
Not surprising, being from the Badger State

Bruce, I have installed a lot of kits since then and changed nozzles for members. That was a 60 horse kit to start but if you send me the nozzle numbers stamped on top of the nozzles, I will tell you exactly what GPS they are. Was in Muni this weekend for the TY ride and just saw the post.

You guys are too kind! Thanks for the comments!

Thanks Terry, I will get back with you.
Bruce

Nozzel numbers

Terry are 418 and 417

Thanks Bruce

TERRY, I AM IN TENNESSEE PLAYING GOLF FOR SIX WEEKS AND I LOOKED AND REALIZED I HAD LEFT BEHIND THE DATA FILES WHICH HAVE THE INFO YOU WANT. HOWEVER, YOU SAID YOU HAD NOZZLES 417 AND 418 AND I KNOW THEY ARE NOT 20 G/SEC NOZZLES BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAD TWO LETTERS. SO IT IS PRETTY SAFE TO ASSUME THAT THE NOZZLES YOU HAVE ARE 15'S WHICH WOULD HAVE HAD OUR OLD DESIGNATION AS BEING 45 HP EACH. THAT IS THE BEST I CAN DO FOR NOW. BARRY

Hey Mike, did you get to try it out yet?

Hey Terry,

I am up in Houghton, MI right now, hoping to get a chance to push the fun button very soon. The trails up here are actually not condusive to more than 50 mph right now......very bad! We have a total of 50 miles on so far. Supposed to run up to Copper Harbor in the morning, we'll see how it all works out. It's should cool down tonight and they are going to groom after midnight, so HOPEFULLY I can shoot some juice tomorrow..........

Will keep you posted

Very cool buddy! Sorry to hear the trails are poor....
