WOW-OMG! That's about the only comment I have......This stuff is really, really cool....It doesn't hit with the impact I had envisioned, much smoother than I thought, what a rush....
Trails in Houghton were groomed and firmed up nicely overnight, had a fantastic ride Friday night and Saturday.
Headed south to the Crandon area this morning and when out for a 50 mile ride or so.
Found a couple really hard packed, icy trails with long straight aways......cranked the apex to 10,500 rpm, hit about 110 mph (unmodified dream-o-meter) and hit the juice. Mind you this was my first time, I was an N20 virgin of sorts.
Poked the button for about 7-10 secs a shot and hit 129 on the D.O.. I know that is not that fast, but the most I have ever had out of my apex is 119. So an instant 10 mph just playing with the flipper.
Later, went out on Wabecon lake and toyed with my buddies F1000. I actually go by him every time without the N20. I played with the spray a little... This time I hit the button at about 50-70 mph. Wow does this stuff pack a wallop from down low, much more impact than up high. I pull away from the F1000 at a good clip from 30 mph roll-on. He has 168 studs and I have a 108 in a 136" ripsaw. As I pull away I trounce the N20 at about 70mph and just walk him. Had to let off at 125 indicated, ran out of lake..Did this several times until the bottle was gone...
I have the fuel screw set at 3 1/4 turns out, and I will bring it down to about 2 or 2 1/2 for optimum. I am satisfied where it is right now until I get used to this. There is a pretty healthy delay from being "pig" rich, and right now, I like that.......
Thanks again Terry for helping me start my new addiction.....Well, I quit smoking last year, so I needed a new habit....I think this one is going to be great fun!!

Mike, just watch your rpms...(if you can) and you should be gaining 900 - 1,000 when on the bottle. Let me know how the programmer is working out for you.

Terry,
It's hard to say what my RPM was, I know it jumped instantly to 11,000+, but couldn't focus on it to get a true reading. I believe the programmer is working GREAT. Simply because I really know nothing about clutching and have never touched my clutch other than cleaning. The PCIII was set up by Alan Ulmer.... Raises the rev limit, adds fuel, and retards the timing (ign. module) for a slightly safer hit of N20.
When I have some spare time I am going to learn as much as possible about how the PCIII works to get the most out of it. Right now I have two programs I go between with the hub and switch. #1 gives me stock performance (maybe a touch better) and #2 compensates for the nitrous.
When we head out for the day, I turn the bottle on, arm the system, purge a few times on the trail until I get the bog from the extra fuel (thanks for that advice by the way). After that I am ready to go anytime.
I am headed up to the Crandon area Friday evening and will watch the tach closer this time to see where I am before and after hitting the button. To tell the truth I was a little intimadated the first time I hit the button, but now it just makes me smile. I have three full 2.5 lb bottles that I am taking with me......
