The 5 Minute 5 Dollar spare belt holder

When I had to get my spare spare belt out of the bag when it was frozen, I heated it up with the exhaust...melted all the ice and snow off. Then it opened right up.
Just an idea
But I also put a spare belt on the clutch cover...its just easier

Here's my spare belt holder. Just a touch different with no side panel interference.

For those people who are really perticuler order the ones off a 2006 nytro they are aluminium

I did this. Actually ordered 2 of them and the 4 rivets shown on the parts diagram at the yami dealer. Cost me $9. Nice light alum pieces that will not corrode. :rocks:

I HAVE DONE THIS MOD TO MY SLED ALSO. THEN I DECIED TO PUT IN A COLD AIR INTAKE FOR MY MPI STAGE 1 SUPERCHARGER AND NO THERE IS NO ROOM. AND THE OIL TANK FOR THE SC IS WERE THE TOOL BAG GOES SO MY SPARE BELT/ TOOL BAG HAS TO GO INTO MY BACK PACK.

I agree with the airflow theory or something similar. Very odd that Yami didnt designate a place for a spare belt......

They did designate a place for the spare belt, the front tool pouch. Most guys don't want to fold it up to put it in there though.

By making the pouch a little bigger, they saved on 2 rivets, one belt holder and die complexity for the FX clutch cover. It may not be much on a per sled basis but over the entire run........never mind they don't need anyone to sub-assemble the clutch cover belt clip.

Can you tell I work on an assembly line???

Its all about saving on manufactuing cost and making a good profit margin per sled.

Any interference whan you remove the belt guard?

Drill in the frame instead in a guard... not sure, install the rivet upside down, no risk (vs drive belt)
