well, as a few of you who come over to snowest might know, I converted my yamadoo sled to run on propane, it hasnt been more then just lightly messed with in the garage, but I am stoked, so figured I would post a video of it running. I know I shouldnt have hammered on the clutch like I did, sometimes it closes smooth, sometimes it sticks and jerks closed. either way.

heres a quick rundown for those who dont know what it is

05 doo rt 162 chassis
03 rx motor
midmount turbo system with a 16g mitsubishi
propane fueling, no more gas.

video... IT RUNS>. hopefully gonna have it on grass tommorow, and snow within a month.

Its funny the gauge is blinking wanting to know where the fuel tank is LOL

Anyway to make the stock fual gauge show how much propane you have left?

Good job not back for what $1000 you have into the conversion (fuel to propane)?

I MIGHT have $750 into propane... its crazy cheap.. give me some time to get it moving and I will tell you how comfortable I am with this system, BUT, I really like this stuff.. its neat, and once the sled is warm, the thing fires up 10x as fast as a gas motor, its crazy. the starter barely clicks and its on.

and its blinking because I also dont have a tps setup right now, I need to wire in the one on my throttle body. ust more details to iron out, along with a coolant leak.

it blinked all last year because I ran a rev tank, I guess I just need to put a resistor in it so it thinks its happy... I could make it wired up to some sort of level gauge, but IMO its not worth it to me.

The reports of my death were premature.

Yamadoo

Actually great job on the Yamadoo sled. It seems like a dream concept. Good luck
Again the non dead ty member Yamadoo

I would actually really like to have a few details about how to implement propane for fuel on a my apex mountain..

I would really love... might be the next big thing to do to mine too.

well, once I work out some kinnks here, and see if its sorta consistant/tunable, I iwll let you know ALL you want. its cool stuff, ill just figure some of it out, then you can see how you feel about it.

yeah.. no doubt.. lots of playing to do.

I loaded into the truck, so actualy got to put a little load on the motor to run it up the ramp.. thing runs CRISP.. and sounds amazing.. and my new avids and suspension setup make it a LOT nicer to drive and the clutching is much smoother.

I was going up the ramp slow and you could hear the turbo winding up.. sounds GREAT... with the intake basically pointing straight up at me.... makes me very happy the way it sounded.. now time to get it WOT and kick some #*$&@.

also got my filling pretty much 100% figured out.. if I crack the pressure releif valve on the sled tanks and put my filling tank upside down to get liquid out of it.. the thing fills VERY quickly... should be almost on par with a gas pump. and I can fill it to the tippy top right before I go out and ride.

Very nice, Looking forward to seeing more on this. I would like to do this sometime in the near future also.
