Thinking off buying a Rx1. But ?

Looking at buying a 03 Rx1. Wants 1000 bucks.Around 4000 miles He said the motor is stuck. He said still has oil and anitfreeze in it. He loaned it out to a friend and said it came back like this. He said when he trys turn it over it just clicks. I asked him if he could turn the primary and he said no. Is it worth it? I can do all the work. Just not sure if it worth it. Thoughts?

I would not give 1000 bucks for a possibly seized engine. You might get lucky and find it's something simple, but if you have to tear it down it will be expensive.

You could get more than $1000 parting it out if the rest of it is good.

buy it. you can get your money back out of it parting it out easily. heck most of the meajor components would cover that.

Heres what I got. Rod also put a hole in front heat exchanger. What you guys think happened?

There where a few that the nuts walked off of the caps for the connecting rod. Looks like that might be the case.

My 03 did that also. Wiped the entire motor out. Head, block and crank gone. Built an Apex motor stroked it and put it in there no more carb problems.
