I just purchased a Power Madd universal throttle extension kit. How difficult is it to remove the throttle cable from the throttle? Has anyone applied an extension kit and was there any tweaking that needed to be done?

It took me 15 min to install the extention on mine. it helps to have a sled just like it next to you to get the free play set up just right. u do have to take the throttle off the handlebar to get it out. hope that helps.

Did you mark the carb throttle bodies prior to adding the kit? I was thinking I need to see where the carb linkage is at WOT and adjust the extension kit from there. Any thoughts?

The mountain cable is 20.00 at the dealer. I would never trust the extensions when a comlpete cable is that inexpensive.

The throttle cable from the Nytro will also work. It was only $14.

I tried to purchase the Nytro cable from my dealer but they do not stock them. I had to order the cable kit from Dennis Kirk. I would have went the Nytro route but I had to go with plan B.
