throttle extension

I am new to this forum but I need some anwswers for my recently aquired 2007 apex. I have done alot of work on the sled this year to lighten it and improve power, hook up and ride. Everything worked so well that I have decided to continue to invest in making it better,

I Purchased a 3.5 inch handlebar riser and it required a throttle extension which I got from powermadd. The problem is that it is too much extension. I only needed maybe 3 inches and got 10. There is no where to route the excess and allow the sled to idle back down. I need to know if there is another solution. Is there an aftermarket throttle cable that is a little longer without being 10 inches? The stock throttle is so stiff that I cannot work with it so I need to find another fix.

Contact Port Yamaha or Rich Motorsports, both are site sponsors. Order up an '05 RX Mountain cable and you'll be set. I have on on my '06 Attak with a Rox adjustable riser and it works!

i got a apex moutnain cable for mine worked perfect and i am 3.5 inches taller then stock

Mountain cable is only 25.00. Well worth it. I have never heard much good about those powermadd extensions.
