Looking to buy and change the thumb warmer ,how hard is it and can you buy it as one piece or do you have to buy and glue in.
Is there a video anywhere that shows you how to change.

This is the one I used on a 2017 Sidewinder.. Not sure which one you need but I'm guessing its this one. So you need to take apart the the throttle assembly and remove old one.. You will need SMALL torque sizes. If i remember correct 8 or 9 torques size.. Its not that hard BUT if your not careful you can mess things up .. The flipper needs to be removed and the pin that holds in in needs to be reassembles so the (TPS) throttle position sensor is operating correctly.. It plugs in and routed to the flipper.. Be gentle when pushing into slot where old heater element was.. It sound harder then it is. Just take your time. If your not comfortable find a buddy or dealer to do it? Id do it for you but your slightly out of range. It has 3m sticky on the back side, also little metal prongs that hold it in.. I like to use a thin layer of Black RTV silicon after new is installed, instead of the little piece of foam.

I replaced mine this fall with the Cat warmer, fairly simple to replace and it came with plug and play connector and the glue to attach

I highly recommend the "Viper Thumb Warmer fix" from Rockmeister (an advertiser on this site). It has an adhesive strip, plus a metal clip to hold the element onto the flapper. I've had mine for two years, it is waaaay warmer than the stock one!
