my thumb warmer barely puts out any heat.
I unplugged it and hooked it to 12V and it got real hot.
The switch will work and make the readout on the gauge work.
I haven't checked the voltage output yet though.
Last year i wired the hand warmers in parallel instead of series and keep them on 1-2 bars now and they're hot (might put this back to stock as maybe its drawing to much power?)
The turbo kit has an electric fuel pump and oil pump.
I'm thinking maybe there is too much draw on the electrical system?
Never blown a fuse or anything and i even tried another thumb warmer and it was the same?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris

The Thumbwarmer has the same issue as the warmers, the ECU puts out PWM and is almost turned off at idle (Below about 4000 RPMs).
Your Rockerdan mod (Putting the warmers in parallel) is probably ok, just don't let anyone leave them on high!
Everyone that has used the mod has loved it, with no issues reported other than from leaving them on high too long.
No ECU issues reported.
Most likely, the warmers are now warm and now the thumb feels relatively cold, when they are both lukewarm, they feel about the same.
Only mods that I know of that will take care of this is direct wire or The Cap Mod, putting a capacitor in parallel with the thumbwarmer.
Hope this helps!

cap mod? Did a search and couldn't find anything?
I know a cap. stores energy and releases it to avoid voltage drops, but does this make the thumb warmer hotter?

Yes it will.
It will store energy during the power pulse and release it when the pulse is "off".
Unplug and measure the resistance of the thumbwarmer in ohms, and I will let you know what cap you need.
