Thunder Cat vs Attak?????

I'll tell you right now there's no way the TCat is stock. When those are left stock they can barely keep up with a 600 anything. For about $2000 they rock. Plus it would be knid of dumb to install egt's into the stock pipes! All Arctic Cats need the "Full Tornado Package" that's what my friends call it. You basically throw the entire D&D or black magic catalogue right at the sled. Same as the new 1000.....new manifold, pipe, air box, 180-185 hp

It is pretty easy to get a t-cat to fly. Certain years were poor from the factory, but it takes nothing to get them to run. It takes boost on a four-stroke to run better than a ported t-cat. I've worked over more t-cats than anything, and can tell you they are the easiest machines to extract power from. Do not take them lightly! Again, it all depends on their state of tune and who is tunning them.

It's just as easy for a "tuner" to make a sled slower then faster lol. Also look at the conditions..slush. You might be racing a 130mph machine that can't hook in the slush...get it on hard pack or ice and the guy drives away from you like you're on a phazer.

I owned a 01 tcat that was piped and clutched and ran 114 to 116mph in 1000ft on ice pretty regulary (radar). For not much money you can pick up a set of used pipes and pick up about 16 hp. Set up the clutching right and the tcat will fly. I currently have 1500 miles on my clutched rtx. My personal experiance is the tcat was definatly faster on the top end.Probably 8 to 10 mph faster. The rtx was quicker out of the hole but around 300 ft the tcat would catch and pass the rtx.
