How do I get the booted end off so I can replace the bent tierod? In a hurry here. I'll try searching some more and reading the manual If I don't get an answer but you guys have a way of cutting to the chace. 1st good snowfall coming in tommorrow and I want to be able finally go on the 1st a long good ride this season.
Thanks

Follow the instructions on doing an oil change except for actually draining the oil and pulling the filter. Eventually you should see the tie rod ends. I guess I should clarify, you'll need to remove everything in the front, airbox, battery, battery tray then you should see the ends. Remember one end is reverse thread, and I would recommend using loctite on everything. I would not be fun to have something like a tie-rod work loose doing 90mph.

You should be able to slip the boot out of place on BULK head to get a wrench in to unlock the nut, if you turn your steering full lock it should be reachable...

LJ I figured that might be the case. apltx thanks for the short cut. It's just the tie rod everything else seems fine..Loctite will be done..
I'll try it now...

Got it off thanks....Hopefully they have it in stock tommorrow..
