Does anyone have or seen how well the Timbersled rear skid works?.. does it transfer well? I'm looking for something that will work well for snow drags.. If I can go with something that is not a full race skid that works well, that would be good

I dont have one so probably shouldn't comment but the design of it leads me to think it doesn't transfer well at all plus all the big turbo mountain sled guys like to keep the nose down and brag about how this suspension does that. Now the 2012 units are more adjustable so maybe you can dial in more transfer. I would call them I did once and they are very nice and reccomended I get something else for beating the wee out of on a trail and fields like i do. Good manufacturer that knows the limits on the skid and doesn't try to sell you something just for the sale.

I have a TS Mountain Tamer rear skid on my Apex MTX. The skid is actually very adjustable, so can be made to be very, very stiff with no transfer, or set for a lot of transfer if you want that.

The 2011 and newer TS skids have coupling adjustment blocks under the rear H arm that look easy to adjust, but i don't have any experience with.

Any TS skids 2010 and older use 1/4" or 1/2" shims on the transfer rods on the rear H arms. I run mine with 1 shim on each side. Zero shims would be the max transfer. I believe you can fit up to an inch and a half or so of shims on each side if you wanted to prohibit any transfer, such as high powered turbo applications where you wanted to keep the skis down.
