Anyone else do this? Seems like a good idea for extra cooling

I am doing maintenance on a local guys who does guided sled tours and he asked me to install a stud in each ski! He said his other sled has them and they work well.
I installed them on the inside rear curved part so they would scratch pavement .
Anyone else do this? Curious how well it works

With scratchers they can kick up or out when they hit something hard. When that stud hits something hard its just going to deflect your ski. Maybe it won't matter..

I have never seen that before. Very interesting. Would love to hear some feedback from someone using it.
