Time for an overhaul!!!

Got out riding this morning and riding at around 60km/h and it popped out of gear!!
I had the case apart earlier this week for inspection and everything look good!!! Going to open er up today and pull everything apart to try and figure out why?
I am still hopeful I could limp er through the season! Hopefully it's nothing major!!

Got a month of riding left then I will be dropping it off at the dealer for a new primary, heated seat, and a newrear skid mount
Once I get it back it going to get all new bearing for one end to the other , powder coating and anything else needed to make her new again
Dropping it off for Warranty work ?

So I literally had the worst day of my life!!!!!!
First thing this morning sled pops out of gear ride ruined!
Next I go get oil in town and get 650$ ticket for mobile device in hand
Then to top it off I had a urge to go to bathroom so I run to outhouse beside garage and find there is ice build up and couldn't get door open!!! Well guess what happened!!!!!!
Freek this it's bed time!!!!

Maybe we should go back to the old style earless clips. They are much stronger. Same with the Driveshaft to disc. Old ones were way more reliable. With either make sure you put the sharp edge outward always.
Going to rip er apart further just to make sure the bearings are ok!!! Maybe a bad bearing caused enough thrust to push the clip out??!
Not sure how and why but will dig deeper just to be sure everything is 100%

Did you align the gears? Most ppl just slap them in but you really should run a straight edge from top to bottom gear without chain installed and shim as necessary....get thin shims.

Dude....you better shut it down for the day before something else takes a $h!t...literally LOL

Lmao...now that’s funny sh*t right there. Poor Marc today..lol.

Yes they will warranty clutch and heated seat as for gearcase I will own that one since I did gear change
Good luck on the heated seat under warranty , cost me $335.00.
Specifically excluded in Yamaha warranty papers.

Hate to tell ya but because of the design of the seat heater, it will fail again, and again, and again IF nothing is done to stop it. The wires flex right at the power chip causing them to eventually break (ever bent a wire coat hanger back and forth a bunch of times? Eventually they break).
The solution is to prevent flexing there. I have repaired 3 heated seats so far. Changed lead wires to super-flexible wire (from McMaster) and fabricated a plastic support piece to attach to power chip and prevent wires from flexing there. Problem solved.

I'll talked to dealer and see if they will give the original heater and I'll do a similar repair as you did and keep it as a spare

Sounds good. The plastic support guides the wires down into tunnel in the seat and that's where you want the lead wires to flex (not at the power chip). I used super-flexible wire and then provide some slack in the seat tunnel, like maybe form a spiral or serpentine with wires so they can flex while you ride.

Awsome thanks for the heads up
