Thats the question! O.K., I rode with Boston RX 1 yesterday in northern N.H. on some FANTASTIC trails. He has the 136" Cross Country kit and I am stock. The times I followed him it looked like his suspension either had more travel than mine or just plain rode smoother. We didn't hit any really bumpy places, only nice smooth trails, but there was enough uneven places to be able to see his suspension work. I like very long rides, usually 200+ miles in a day consistantly. Would it be a wide upgrade to go with the X-Country kit? My only hesitation is that I also love carving high speed corners and I ride hard...would the longer track hurt my cornering performance? I know my buddy running a new 'Doo Legend 700 2-up can make that thing carve the corners at very high speeds with a 136" track, but we ARE talking about two completely different sleds here. On the same lines, I'm in the market for a new track (which is why I'm considering the length change now). I ride mostly groomed trails, but I ride hard and do occasionally ride in a little powder...not like out west, just ungroomed trails after a snow storm. I want something that will hook up on the groomed trails well but also have enough lug so I'm not useless off trail...but on trail is my main riding terrain. Any suggestion on part numbers from Tracks USA in either 121 or 136" lengths? Thanks!

Jim

I have an o3 shorty and I am looking at the possability of going to a Warrior next year, so I am watching what others are saying about the Warrior.

It appears that the Warrior is what I want, except some are reporting the hot light on on their Warrior, so I am concerned about that.

I believe that we will get more info on the Warrior as more people are able to get out on the trails, so time will tell

I have 1200 miles on my 04 Warrior. The length of the Warrior track does not significantly affect cornering. While the sled does not corner like my old sx700r or sx Viper, I can keep up in the corners. The best attribute of the Warrior is the way it absorbs bumps. The 136 bridges most bumps which results in a much smoother ride than a shorty.

I rode Xpolarisguy's RX1 a couple of days ago, and the Warrior absorbs the bumps much better. It is not that the RX1 ride is poor (X has his suspension tuned in pretty good) - its that the Warrior rides that much better because of the 136.

The one trade off is that while a stock Warrior is faster than a stock RX1 out of the hole - the RXI is faster at the top end. The other night, X cruised by me at the top end. He probably had me by 3-6 miles per hour. But, that's ok because my back never hurts.
