I'm torn guys.... I have an '06 Apex GT that's in need of a track. I really like the way my wifes 136" LTX Vector rides, but holy f^ck is it expensive for a longer track & extensions.
I can get a new 121" track for $465 shipped, and a 136" w/ rail & tunnel extensions is just shy of $1000
The Apex GT does ride nice in a 121", SO.... I'm wondering am I gonna really gain much stretching to a 136"?
Anyone here have experience between the older 121" Apex's & the Attak's in ride difference?

I liked the attak allot more for ride comfort didnt see any loss in performance top end and such seemed alittle better we figured it was because it was getting better traction putting more to the ground. bridged the bumps alittle better and was negligable in the corners personaly love the 144 tiped up rails the best i feel there is no comprimise in handeling and ride is great and handels off trail very well.

Where did you get your track price from? That's too high. Do a little shopping around and you can find a deal. Let me know if you want help finding one. FYI, I gave $535 for a brand new Ripsaw II 136.

Thanks for the offer.
That "just shy of $1000" is an Ice Attack 136", rail extensions, & tunnel extension from Tracks USA.
I think I'm just gonna go pre-studded (like Ice Attack or Ice Ripper) vs traditional studs.

If you love the Apex motor like I do, save your penny's and trade the '06 for an '11, '12, '13, or '14 Apex XTX. IMHO and experience going from a GT 121" to a stretched 136" I saw a slightly better ride, but still not what I wanted for rough trails. The Apex XTX with dual shock suspension absolutely blows away a stretched Mono. Throw in the new power steering and its Perma-smile!

Muffin works has tunnel extension $115 and
Rail extensions $150.
contact Rich Motorsports for track.
You won't be sorry you stretched it.

Its alot better in the deep snow as 144, i did go with 121-144 muffin last year. ran great but still trenching to much so i have stretched this year 121-136 relocating ro 144.. Gonna put up pic in about a week.
But in the end you run trail tracks and dont seemt to be a deep surfer, so my advice is skip it. To much work and to little gain on the trail.

I agree with this entirely. the atack angle on the mono is too steep if you do stretch instead of upgrading do the set back option to give you a better atack angle to the track or it will just trench at any length of track and not preform well of trail.viper50 said:If you love the Apex motor like I do, save your penny's and trade the '06 for an '11, '12, '13, or '14 Apex XTX. I'm not concerned with deep off trail performance. The sled is too heavy for that & a 136" is way too short anyhow to think of it as good boondocker. I'm just thinking more so for better trail ride.
I still just don't know if I can justify the extra money though. $465 VS $980 that's a huge difference.

If you don't extend I can get you a like new 121 ripsaw from a vector with 350 miles on it for $325.
Also have a studded predator 1.25 that is like new. $375.
Have a 136 ripsaw with no missing lugs. It was studded but I removed them and ran track on my sled for a season. $275.
136 oem tunnel extensions with bumper....$75
If you wnat to go oem 136 you just need rails, the rear tunnel brackets, and the rear arm. I have all of this stuff, but rail extension are much simplier and cheaper. Muffinworks are great guys and very helpful.
