I found the XTX very hard to steer at lower speeds on the trail compared to my 1200. To be fair, the owner had put on Yamaha mountain skis to help with floatation so I never got to ride it with the stock skis on. Skis aside, I still don't think it corners as well as the Renegade, seems to push alot..maybe cuz of the longer track?
The slow speed steering effort isn't probably a problem for me as I never go slow... unless I am waiting for a chance to blast by somebody else who is going slower than I like to.
Push is the one thing I cannot stand about my Attak. Cannot get rid of it.
Not a good feeling to head into a corner at 90MPH and ya got the skis turned, your leaning off the thing where your knee is almost on the ground and it's headed straight for a tree.
The Yamaha demo ride I was supposed to go to got rained out and none of the dealers I have talked to will let me ride one so I can see if I want to buy one.

The XTX is very sensitive to shock preload and it really affects steering pressure. I have my wife's sled steering so easy it's hard to describe.
Renegades have always been good sleds. I'm not surprised you like yours. SkiDoo makes good stuff. So do Polaris and Cat. And Yamaha. We're lucky they've all stayed in the sled business!

It's been a great year, almost everyone I know has bought a new sled this year, this Renegade being my first Ski-Doo. I have also been lucky enough to be able to ride all of the new sleds, Dragons, F series, XTX, XP's, X-fire and my XR. Very interesting to experience all of the different seating positions and power levels, 2 and 4 stroke. This is my first 4 stroke and I think it would be very hard to go back.

This is my first 4-stroke as well. It's been a journey to get my XTX working well but I've enjoyed it, other than the expense. But I still haven't found a sled that's Stewie ready out of the box. I've been trying to hook up with a bud who has a new Assault. He sure likes it better than his last year's Dragon RMK 800. I want to take it for a spin. I've ridden and like Revs and F sleds. And M sleds but I don't need a mondo track for my lifestyle. Is your XP chassis warmer than the older Revs? My '04 Renegade was a cold rider. My XTX is much warmer, other than the hand issue, and I've solved that problem. If the participants here could control their emotions I'd love to hear some comparison feedback from guys who've ridden other sleds. It's all good fun. I know feedback is subjective but that's part of the deal. I don't care WHAT you ride, just THAT you ride. That's the common bond.

I personally don't care that much for the older Revs cuz it forces your legs to be bent too much(same as the x-fire to some extent) I find my XR to be very warm (we have done alot of riding at -30 this year) it is actually warmer than the XP's because the front body work is wider due to the three cylinder engine.
One sled I really don't mind is the Dragon I got to ride for awhile, the ergonomics fit me rather well...just didn't like the weak power of the 600 engine. The one thing I really noticed is the wind pressure on my chest while riding the Nytro because of the very low windshield...my Gade looks like a grampa sled parked next to the XTX with my tall windshild and mirrors!!!

Buddy just crashed a sled in the UP on a trip and bought a GSX limited the next day with the 600 sdi, its a nice sled! Very comfy, handles great with no adjustment at the dealer or on the next 400 miles we put on the trip. Its funny because it lifts the skis 12-15" in the air when you peg it from a stand still but corners with out inside ski lift. Just think about turning and it goes that direction, zero turning effort, very very easy to drive. Only thing it doesn't have is the pull of a 4 stroke. I liked it and the SDi engine doesn't smoke much at all. The e-tec is even better.
Overall its a price decsion for me if you get a better deal on one or the other take it.
