I am looking for some info and advice about this area. where is the place to stay? I am from Pa. have been allover N.E. and Canada looking to try something different but still want to trail ride, I have seen this area has 500-600 miles of groomed trails that no one seems to talk about? what is the deal? do the trails connect to some towns? can you ride on trails from Togwotee to Yellowstone? when is the best time to go? March? where is the best place to stay? not really interested in power ridding, just trail riding in elevation.

I stayed at Togowtee Mountain Lodge in 2009. Not many places for fuel and all rental machines had to be returned by 4:30 each day. Yellowstone is ridden by permit holder only with Best Available Technology sleds. This meant Phazers when I was there. I'll never forget my experiences there. Truly awesome trip!!
