Too wide frontend?

If you let somebody ride the back occasionally, then you will appreciate the wider front end. The loss of tippyness will be much appreciated.

I elected to go with the yamaha mountain skis and found a huge improvement in both flotation and the ability to move the skis in or out depending upon conditions. It was a nice purchase. The riser will offset the wider stance some too. I would try it out and if you don't like the new wider front end, sell it and go back. But I am betting on the times you ride somebody that the wider frontend will be something that will make everyone a whole lot less nervous.

Hello Allan
Yes the Yamaha mountain ski´s is the best you can use to get more floatation!

And you´re right that the rx sled is heavy, especially up front! But when you learn how to ride it you will start liking it more and more.

Setup the suspension to you preferences and you´re good to go.

How´s the snow up in Aasiaat? Here in Narsarsuaq it sucks! Ajoq! All the snow got blown away by the storm we had recently and the rest just melted away.

Hi Erni!

We just got some more snow the last couple of days, but unfortunately the high temperatures earlier made the sea ice really thin and unsafe... But I'm hoping to get the sled out sunday, and enjoy the fresh snow ;-)

Work and other stuff has just been taking up most of my time lately, so I haven't had the time to install the kit yet. I need to talk to Yamatek in Nuuk so I can get the 05 Mountain skis.

Yesterday I went to install the 12 mm swaybar, and guess what? It was too big..... The bar could easily slide through the tube in the body of the sled, but the stock bushings were too small and so were the holes in the a-arm links. I contacted Bruce at Pioneer Perfomance and he is going to send newer links and bushings so I can make this bar work.

I have another question regarding handlebar risers. I really like the idea of adjustable risers. I looked at the Rox riser on this page: http://www.roxspeedfx.com/cgi-bin/cart/ ... cat_id=289
I like the one at the top of the page, but will this one fit my handlebars? Can I bolt it right on the steering column, and what about the thickness of my bars? Are they 1-1/8"?

Thanks, Allan

Pretty sure the bars are 7/8" and you would need the little 7/8" adapter. Could be wrong. Something else you might want to add is a transfer kit from MPI to get rid of the control rods....makes riding more fun with that skid. Lets you get the front in the air easily off bumps and in the powder.

you have the swaybar for the 2004 +...i got the 03 style 12mm pioneer (smaller diameter ends) and it snapped the end off after 500kms. Better off with 04 setup and thats what i have to get now.
