Do all 16" wide tracks on RX-1 cause harmonic vibration

Culvert, what do you want to buy my 159"? It's a 16" wide x 2 1/4" lugs.

I'll attempt to attach a picture.

I used a Western Power Sports extension to go on the back of my 141" M7 rails. It's a 4 1/2" extension and I'm in the first inch of adjustment with 3 more inches of adjustment left. I think a 162" would fit under there just fine too.

With the stock 151 rails you'd need roughly a 4' extension.

Frosty... if you change it out for the 162 I may be interested. depends on price and shipping across the border.
Havent looked into cost of used tracks or extensions up here.

Ok, Culvert.

The wheel sare in motion toward a 162" but I'm headed out tomorrow and maybe I'll fall in love with this track again?

I'll let you know.

Frosty

Frosty, how did things go? Did you find the problem? Solution?

I can also feel some vibration in my sled. I know there is some rubbing points inside the tunnel, but thats impossible to get rid of, I have just replaced the bolts that rubs with carriage bolts.

I just run stock apex drivers...

Wow, you have done well finding this relic of a post!

The vibration was defeated but, I'm having a hard time remembering how.

Yes, I did install the antistab wheels, yes, I did trim a triangular piece about 1/4" off the very tips of each outside paddle because they were touching the bulhead as they went over the drivers.

I think sometimes it takes a while for the drivers and the track windows to get to know each other.

How long have you driven the sled set up like this?

Hehe :)

Perhaps 18-20 miles or so :) Perhaps I should try to run it atleast the 20 miles more and see if it gets any better.
Did any of the vibration stop after the anti stab wheels?
Are thoose anti stabs needed on the Rx1 03 skid, mine is just extended?

Of course, I bought my anti stab kit AFTER I had a stick go through one of the track windows.

Honestly, it's been several years ago and I can't really remember if the anti stab wheels helped with vibration or not.

Anti stab wheels are put on as an insurance policy to keep a slide rail tip from going through a track window and the 3" pitch track windows are MUCH larger than the 2.52" pitch track windows.

Yes, it's really fairly easy to install the kit. I used the one referenced on page one of this post. I think it was from HPE.

I also just mounted a kit from BDX (Black Diamond Extreme) on my M8.

They are a good insurance policy.
