Well as my luck goes I was done refueling at the gas station so I parked out of the way and just as I feared one of my doo buddies pulled up behind me and ran his spindle on the front suspension into the rear of my running boards on the left side. Luckily i had Rox sledtreads to prevent further damage but it was enough to buckle the very back of the running board where the heat exchanger tube goes through. I didn't see any coolant leaking but the way it's buckled I think i could be a problem in the future. It didn't break the plastic side panel but it's going to be a bastardly fix.

Bummer. Not that it makes you feel any better but I bent my left front A arm on a submerged rock this weekend.

Have to replace both the upper and lower control arms.

Doesn't that suck this late in the year. And i thought I was going to get through a season unscathed. Here's a pic of the damage.

Yeah, I'd be concerned about that heat exchanger leaking as well.

I'll have to take a pic of my A arm this weekend and post it next week. That "episode" pissed me off to no avail! At least I've got plenty of time to fix it now........

Ouch! Runningboard damage sucks as it's no easy repair. What's your plan?

I'm curious about the sledtreads you spoke of. Do you have any better photos of these? (I'm trying to figure out a cool way to cover a small "dinger" of my own from sliding into a road sign pole)

Those are cool! Don't look compatable with my fish bones though. Maybe just some that hook to the rolled part would work for me. (part of the rolled part is flattened a little on mine- nothing major)
