Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how to start a Vector after it's been in summer storage. I've read on the board that blowing into the vent line works. Where is exactly the vent line. When I look on the left side of the machine I see two hoses, which I think are connected to the water pump. There is also a clear tube which is inside what looks like a spring. This connects to what looks like a pipe in the footwell. Where is the vent line? Am I missing something? Thanks!!!!

That's it. The one above your left foot to the rear of the secondary.
Blow in the end of the plastic tube with the gas cap on tight. Should start right up.

What is written above should get you going.
This summer I made sure I fired the sled up at least once every 4 weeks, one stretch was 5 weeks and I never had this problem, it fired right up each time.
If it is possible for you, I would try and do the same but if it is not then the above trick should get you going.

Works like a charm
That's the one with a spring on it blow in it and then hold your finger over it to pressurize she'll fire right up!

Great thanks. There looks like there is fuel in this hose...is that right? Also, it's connected to a metal pipe at the footwell...right. Sorry for all the questions, and thanks

You can also take off your air breather cover off and spray a little quick start in each carb breather hole, it should start right up.

That s#$t should only be used if absolutely necessary as it can do major damge!
I would try all other ideas, including tearing into things before I would use that.
Yes, blow in the fuel vent line and hold your thumb over it, then turn the key. What this does is pressurize the fuel tank and primes the fuel pump. Starts right up!

I normally can pull the intake filter and cover then ends of the carbs with my hand to get it started but occasional I need to use a small spray bottle filled with gas. I hold the throttle open, give each carb a hit of gas and it starts with no problem.

I tried looking for the clear line around the left foot well. Took panel off, could not see it. Gave up and blew into the case tank 3 - 4 times. Seems to start better doing this.
If anyone can tell me the secret to finding this "clear" fuel line, I'd appreciate it.
