Picked it up this morning and it fit's in my 10' trailer with not a lot of room to spare.
Coming from an Apex GT I can feel the lighter weight moving it around with a dolly.
Much easier to remove the body panels and nice to have access to the battery. But, where are they hiding the oil filter? I had a Vector and all you had to do was remove the access panel on the bottom and there it was. Don't tell me it's the same as the Apex buried underneath the airbox?
The Yamaha tall windscreen would be a medium on the Apex. The heated grips seemed to work fine although it's not 10 degrees out.
Greased the suspension as some fittings had grease and others didn't.
The 144 inch track looks purposeful and aggressive in a mountain sled sort of way. Clutch engagement seemed smooth and reverse worked fine. It has a throaty exhaust note without being obnoxious.
Good job Yamaha!
FYI, Yamaha is offering $300.00 factory direct cash if you take delivery during the month of October. I was surprised when the GM offered me the coupon while picking it up. Who knew?

Is it just me or does it seem like the rear bumper is on upside down?

Is the $300 you talk about in addition to the $800 rebate being offered to you guys in the US? Right now here in Canada all we are getting is $450, will I get an additional $300 if I pick it up before Oct ends or is this just for you guys south of the border?

The oil filter is behind the bottom skid plate, like the vector. 5 of those push clips and the plate comes off(4 on the bottom, one on the front behind the rear lower a-arm bolts). Should probably take the plate off before you put it on the lift.

Nice sled..congrats
I noticed in the pics that the track is all opened windows did it come that way and is it fully clipped, looks like the tracks on the RS Ventures with a larger hole...

The windows are all open but the track is only clipped every third. I was talking to the dealer about this on Friday, when I get mine they are going to clip the track for me.apltx08 said:Nice sled..congrats

I'm also wondering did you order this sled and get the accessory credit in spring and the 4-5 yr warranty, and then ALSO this $300 cash back?

This was not a snow checked spring ordered XTX as those sleds were going for around $8500 US. I ordered this XTX in August. I negotiated a price with my dealer and only found out about the factory cash back at time of delivery. It was a total surprise. Even my dealer did not expect it. So with the cash back it was $9350 OTD.
